Dhammacakkappavatta Sutta to the five disciples on the full-moon day of the

that Anyakonthanya, one of the first five disciples of the Lord Buddha,
attained Arahantship right after having heard this first sermon, and asked to
become fully ordained as a Buddhist monk. The Lord Buddha performed, as
requested, the Ehibhikkhu Uppasampadha for Anyakonthanya, thus becoming the
first fully ordained monk.
It was on this day
that the Triple Gem was born, i.e. the first existence of the Buddha, the
