20^th March 2010 Buddha-Image Casting and Blessing Ceremony at Wat Prayong Gittivararam

20^th March 2010 is a special day in the Thai and Chinese calendar (year of the tiger, “sao ha”, 5^th lunar months,) which happens only once every 100 years.

Celebrating this day, we will have a great Buddha-image blessing ceremony in our temple. It is believed that these Buddha-amulets will be very powerful protectors and give the owner special luck.

Begin of the ceremony:

12:39h with “Buang Suan” ceremony (calling the devas & protectors to join the ceremony).

After that the Buddha-Images will be blessed by Phra Acharn Phet and several Thera-Monks from all over Thailand.

There will be food shops giving delicious Thai and Western-food from early morning until late afternoon.
